Greetings and bleedings, one and all.

Here would be a short and sweet update on some of the things happening in the dark end of the Luciferian universe.

First and foremost, “Morbid Mechanics” by Lucifer Fulci is now available! Yes yes, I know what you are thinking…you have seen this CD around some places..right? Well, its just about sold out. Yeah! I have all of 3 actual CD’s left from the several hundred that were created some time of slime ago. But now, just tonight, I have uploaded the CD to www.cdbaby.com, which means in mere days it will be available on Itunes, Rhapsody, Amazon, etc etc etc! Yes, all over the place! Look for it…and remember kids, you can hear samples of everything always at www.LuciferFulci.com

Stir the imagination? Yes! Stir it up! STIR THE IMAGINATION is an amazing and wonderful store in Flint at 3rd and Saginaw and they now carry my works..yes yes yes, the books, the music, etc etc. You can find me there in the local artists section. I am very proud to be a part of this store! There are endless cool things there..incense, candles, books, swords, clothes..yes, and a whole lot more. The atmosphere is peaceful and the owner- Rhonda Groves Young- is an amazing woman and super cool author in her own right. Come in and check out the store!

Also, for those who are familiar with the awesome store in Burbank, Cali- DARK DELICACIES  you will be able to find my book “A Collection of Horror” there in the next month or so. I would have had them to Del and Sue by now but I only had copies that were lacking an ISBN number..so here I wait for more copies. Check in with Del there for when the book comes in! Its always a great place to shop every day of the week. All horror, all the time!

For now, I am working on the completion of my books “20 Chunkblowers that splattered the world” and the “Samhain” by Lucifer Fulci CD companion book as well as “Siki City 20666″…all of these will see the black light of day sometime this year. Stay tuned for terror.

There always seems to be so much happening.

Lately, I have completed and released my book called ” A collection of Horror by Lucifer Fulci: Fiction, Lyrics and Poetry for the Damned.” Yes. That’s the full title. Yes, it has some other elements in it other than Horror. Yes, its mostly Horror. It reads like some of my latest musical work. Its got a little of this and that, all truly from the dark side of life and beyond..but sometimes the beautiful and amazing sneak into my life and I just HAVE to write about it. Take it or leave it. I do what I want!

This book is available and so is “Siki City” – the original in splatter. The book that will make you squirm.

You will soon see “20 Chunkblowers that Splattered the World.” That one is a film book about 20 of the most influential gore movies. For now. Yeah, THINGS change. But yeah, it is what it is in 2012 and you will see this one soon enough. It will have additional commentary and insight from some of the best minds in horror, too. Just wait and see. Prepare for the truth.

Yeah..the truth is..and beware to those who are unaware: My name is David Mark Stashko! Yeah! Lucifer is a pseudonym! LOL. Yes, I know..its a name that I chose WAY back when I was just beginning in Penis Flytrap…well, I love that fake name, too. It always gets a smile from the horror fans ( like me ) because we all feel it means something. But yeah, my real name? My real life?

You can read about my recovery in “A Diary of Sobriety.” Its some horror, some romance, some other stuff..but basically its a year in the life of me as a recovering addict. And no, its not a self help book. Its a book about me helping myself with the help of 12 steps, a higher power and a sponsor.

Ewwww…not your cup of tea? Then by ALL MEANS, do not read it. It is meant for anyone else who might be able to relate with the struggles and successes of recovery from addiction that I have gone thru during my second year of being clean. Like the title says, its a diary of sobriety. So it includes a little of everything. UNCUT and REAL.

I will continue to write and share my diaries over the years, but I am also creating something that I call “Connections.” This book explores the most important elements of living healthy, happy and sane. That will come along later in the year or early 2013. Stay tuned.

Want a tell all book of my bad times? I bet you do. And you might just get it. But beware, if I choose to do this ( and more than a few people who know me want to see this book happen ) , it will be an eye opening experience.

What else?

“Samhain” is in production. The newest CD from my soul. Its all about horror, there! And yes, maybe one or two instrumental ballads. But its alive and kicking! Just give it a little time. I want to have it done and ready to slaughter around Halloween. I will have a few snippets for everyone to hear soon. I think the first thing you will hear is called “Devil’s Night.” That is a soundtrack type piece meant to send chills up your spine.

And yes! This weekend, April 7, I will be the official MC of the Dr. Macabre’s Movie and Musical Massacre being put on by The Flint Horror Con.  Yeah! All hail the grand guignol! Check out the info on Facebook. I will tell you here that its at the Masonic Temple in Flint. The rest? You have to go and find it, blood brothers and sisters. It should be a blast of blood!

And the next weekend? Friday the 13th? I will be a married man. Yep. Sorry gals, I know how many of you are tearing up out there….LOL….maybe even some of the guys! Seriously tho, I am marrying my soul mate, splatter sister and terrifying woman of wicked wonder- Mz. Sarah Adams. The dead girl herself! It will be a private ceremony for now..but we intend to have an extravaganza later on for all of the ghastly ones! That means YOU! Wish me luck…wish us well…wish us love and horror!

Before anything else, I wanted to say hey! Check out THE RETURN of the LIVING DEAD special edition blu ray. Yeah! My pal Dave Gregory put together the documentary on it called “More Brains” and somewhere in that cool madness is some music by yours truly. If you watch it, pay attention and you can hear “Robot Zombie” from the “Morbid Mechanics” CD and “Desporuum Daemonique Infinitum” from the “Cthulhu Rising” CD.

It’s all Horror, all the time. Yeah! Have you heard that before? Well, it remains true. I am still here, working on what I am working on with me, myself and I. From the cryptic studios of Wormfood Horror Media? Yeah! Sure! I am working here from my home studio and loving it. As of late, I have been slaving away to complete a number of literary works.

I have completed the book I intend to call “A collection of Horror by Lucifer Fulci.” All that there is left to do is some editing on the works themselves, some formatting and then the basics of the publishing and then I will unleash this splattery collection of short stories, unfinished works of supernatural mystery, lyrics, poetry and some of the grossest horror that I can shovel together. When it is all together, you will be able to order it from me directly or on a variety of other websites and select stores, etc.

The truth of this collection of horror is this: I often sit down and begin to write a LOT of stuff. I mean, I usually love ideas and get working on them. Somewhere along the line I get writers block or tired of working on one specific thing…or another idea comes along that I start on..this is usually what happens with my writing stuff…I can get music finished much easier. Anyways, I went back thru almost everything that I had begun writing for the past few years and finished up the loose ends…almost. There are some stories that I have included that are unfinished because I know that I will never finish them. They are also presented in such a way that they sort of work like that. All the same, I want to be done with them and retain my new focus on the completion of ideas that are new to me. I am trying to stick to a schedule for everything!

The next book you will be seeing here in 2012 from me is titled “20 Chunkblowers that splattered the world,” which is book about just that. The top 20 splatter films that have turned our stomachs since 1963 and have made horror history. The who’s and what’s, the how’s and the vomit will all be included. There are tons of gory movies, for sure, but that ones really changed us? Which ones changed the genre in some great way? You will see them here. I would say that this book will be finished and on the shelves by Halloween.

The other book that is being worked on as of NOW- again!- is called “Siki City 20666″…what’s this you ask? A SIKI CITY sequel? Well, yes and no…more yes than anything. It is what we often call a REBOOT! Oh yeah! Way back in the day ( the year 2000 or so ), I wrote one of the grossest books of all time…or so I have been told. I liked the idea, etc. But yannow, I got copies back from the publisher and you know what? There were many grammatical errors. I also never truly felt that I finished it the way it was supposed to be. It was also my original intention to include images for each chapter but at the time I did not have anyone that wanted to do it. A decade or so has passed and I am a different writer and demon of horror. While the original publisher apparently will forever own the rights to the original novella, I will be releasing this new mutant of the original idea. The story will remain something of the same monster, but the names have changed, the gore will be doubled ( ! ) and some interesting new surprises will be in the pages for all to enjoy…not to mention some really amazing artwork by Loren G3! Yah! He just sent them to me and WOW. Seriously twisted. You are all going to LOVE this! Stay tuned for terror!

All of these will be published by Wormfood Horror Media. Yes, that means me.

You will also see something called ” A Diary of Sobriety” by David Stashko. Yeah, that’s me by the light of day. It is NOT a self help book. It is just what it says. Unedited. All about sobriety. About a year in the life of me in my second year of sobriety. I thought it might be helpful to others to share a variety of things. I know that I benefit from others when they share…so there it is. It’s not supposed to be scary, but after re-reading some of it, you might consider it a sub genre of horror!

You want to hear about more writing stuff? Okay. This one is funny.

“Norman the Gnome throws a party.” How does that title strike you? Yeah, it’s a kid’s book. It was written a few months ago with the amazing artist called Sarah “Dead Girl” Adams doing the artwork. Yes, that is what she said she would do. Have I seen any artwork yet? Yes, a couple of gnomes here and there, but nothing I can show you yet. Both Sarah and I have and love kids ( not to eat ) and want to give something back in such ways. I know that many people question such works from me, but get used to it. I created the HAIRY HOMINIDS. I have written kids stories before. I will continue to do so. If you cannot fathom such things, just ignore it and get on with the horror!

Other writing stuff? Yeah, I do more than even that. I have been writing for BLOOD FEAST, INC. That’s a cool, old school fanzine out of Ohio created by the morbid one, Mike Salamone. I do reviews and interviews there, and also a cool little column called “The Golden Age of Splatter”. As of this writing, issue 14 is in the works for an April 2012 release. Look it up! It’s awesome. It’s cool. It’s all horror, old school. It would make Chas Balun smile.

Music and melodic morbidity:

I am grateful to know that my last effort, “Evilution” has received as many compliments as it has. I truly love and embrace that collection of horror music for being one of my all time favorite recordings. I still enjoy hearing some of the songs and am attempting to put together a music video for “The Dead Girl”. Time is the restraint, but I am collection some good shots of things here and there. There should be something out to impress in the year 2012.

The next CD is simply titled. “Samhain.” And yeah, that’s the proposed release date, 2012. For now, I have about 8 songs almost completed. This one will contain a variety of musical styles from soundtrack to supernatural metal. I wanted to take the listener on a sonic ride of true terror in all the ways that I know from start to finish. I have also decided to re record 4 songs from my “Ghosts of the Ancient Horizons” CD from 2011 and include them at the end of this CD. I was not happy with the overall sounds of that CD and thought that these songs deserved a new spin. They will be different vocally and musically, but the essence of them shall remain the same. You will hear. The entire CD will include about 15 songs. I am working on this almost every day and have some really wicked sounds to taunt you with. Stay tuned!

Another musical effort that I will be unleashing upon the masses is a split CD effort between me and the amazing Loren G3. We both have about 5 songs a piece that we will be sharing on a singular release. His project, REBIRTH of MERCY is some seriously cool horror/sci fi tinged music that stirs the genre enthusiast inside of me. I am proud to be doing this project, which was originally brainstormed about a few years back. The proposed title is “Red Tenebre” It will be available, like everything else I do, everywhere. CDBaby.com does an amazing job of getting my music out to the world with very little effort on my part.

As always, more and more ideas play out in my head of horror. I look forward to sharing them all with you as time goes on. There are film ideas in there as well, but for now I am sticking to what I know…when the right partners come into play, a film will be made.
